Pharr, TX - This project involved the widening of an existing two-lane roadway into a two-lane roadway that included left and right turn lanes fronting schools.  The project included pavement and drainage design as per TXDOT standards and specifications.

Project managers were required to abide by TXDOT funding regulations and submittal review procedures which also included the completion of an environmental study for the proposed improvements. Additionally, this project required utility adjustment design plans for multiple entities along Sam Houston Boulevard’s right-of-way.

These plans were then incorporated into the Roadway and Drainage plans. SAMES also prepared right-of-way maps as required by TXDOT for the acquisition of 25 parcels along the improvements.

Easement parcel plats were prepared by conducting a thorough investigation of the properties and obtaining title reports of all land owners fronting Sam Houston Boulevard.
