LARK COMMUNITY CENTER REROOF
McAllen, TX - This project consisted of the complete tear off and removal of the community center’s entire existing roofing system down to the existing concrete plank deck including associated flashings and components. A new fully adhered Carlisle Sure-Flex PVC FleeceBACK membrane roofing system was installed. The new roofing system included FAST-100 membrane Adhesive including SecurShield HD Board Adhered with FAST-100 insulation adhesive, new roof insulation, tapered insulation and ½” cover-board. The roofing system was installed utilizing the “Hot Mop” system, and all work was performed in accordance with the contract plans, documents and specifications.
SAMES managed and oversaw the roofing subcontractor, attended all site and project meetings, prepared and reviewed all material submittals, ensured compliance with the project schedule and safety plan, prepared and updated RFI and submittal logs, ensured quality control by conducting routine construction inspections, held regular safety and job site meetings, submitted daily and weekly production reports, and closed out the project.
SAMES coordinated with the City and Community center to ensure minimum disruption during construction and met with the City of McAllen (project owner) frequently ensuring their concerns (if any) were always addressed.
