Various Locations, Kleberg County, TX - This contract was funded by the Coastal Impact Assistance Program and included five (5) work authorizations for various drainage improvements, flood control and shoreline stabilization repairs within Kleberg County.

  • Escondido Creek Dam Repair - Structural design and construction for the complete repair of the dam structure located at Dick Kleberg Park within the City of Kingsville. The dam sits across Escondido Creek, is approximately 150-feet wide, and helps mitigate the release rate of Escondido Creek.

  • Kings Inn Water Quality Improvements - Design and construction of a new storm sewer system for Kings Inn Road to alleviate storm run-off from the road side ditches. Improvements consisted of concrete headwall replacement at the shoreline, installation of grated inlets along the pipe, replacement of road culverts and the regrading of roadside ditches.

  • Riviera Pier Park Shoreline Stabilization - Survey, design and construction of a concrete bulkhead/composite sheet pile stabilization wall and tie back system to provide erosion control.

  • Shoreline Stabilization Study Phase 1 & 2 - Survey of local property owners that aided in preparing a study which served to ensure conservation and protection of the County’s coastal natural shoreline resources by identifying the rate of on-going erosion and developing the best management practices plan to mitigate the adverse impacts of erosion.

  • Riviera WWTP Effluent Re-route - Survey, design and construction for the re-route of the Riviera Wastewater Treatment Plant’s effluent line which served to improve water quality due to the overland flushing of poor quality of water and sediment into the Baffin Bay area where Cayo del Grullo meets Laguna Salada.
